Jon is a serial entrepreneur and experienced businessman. He was the founder and former CEO of Altegris, a financial services firm. Jon sold Altegris in 2010 to a Fortune 500 company. Jon is considered a thought leader in the investment world and frequently quoted in news (CNBC, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal).  He was awarded the 2012 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in San Diego. Jon is the founder and Chief Visionary Officer for Natural High; an award winning non-profit which serves over 20,000 teachers and 8 million youth in the United States.

Jon lives in La Jolla California. He is married to Kathliene and they have two children.  He enjoys surfing, traveling and many adventures.
